Shirley Ann Cretelli passed away at Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops on Thursday, July 12th, 2018 at the age of 72 years. There will be a Celebration of Life in her memory in early September.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Revelstoke Community Foundation, Box 2398, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0 in memory of Shirley.
Shirley was born in Vernon, B.C. on June 25, 1946 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1979. She will be well-remembered as the smiling and welcoming face behind the counter at Queen Victoria Hospital. Shirley was very active with the Revelstoke Highlanders Pipe Band and the Shuswap Pipes & Drums of Salmon Arm. She was a current Director of the Revelstoke Senior’s Association. Shirley enjoyed gardening in her younger years and later spent many hours at Shuswap Lake with her family in the summer months. She especially enjoyed her lunches and dinners with close friends in Revelstoke plus her semi-annual holidays with lifelong friends from school. hirley’s eight grandchildren were her pride and joy and she delighted in having the local ones over for cookies whenever possible.
Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Kathy Rippin as well as her siblings: Teddy, Danny and Marie. She is survived by her husband Ray of Revelstoke; two sons: Greg Russell of Calgary and Chris (Erin) Russell of Revelstoke; two step-daughters: Kim (Pascal) Blommestein of Revelstoke and Heather Cretelli (Christian Tomiak) of Kelowna and one step-son Ryan (Terra) Cretelli of Lumby; grandchildren: Arwynn, Taylor, James, Kaes, McKenzie, Brityn, Hadley and Rayne; one brother Bill (Carol) Rippin of Chemainus as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements are in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
A Celebration of Life Service for the late Shirley Cretelli will be held at the Revelstoke Senior Citizen’s Centre on Saturday afternoon, September 15th, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
