Our beloved wife, mother, G-Mom, bubba, grandma, sister, in-law and dear friend Stephanie "Stevie" Duchman passed away at Mount Cartier Court on Tuesday, September 1st, 2020 at the age of 92 years.
A Private Family Graveside Service was held at Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke where Stevie's cremated remains were interred in the family plot. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Revelstoke and District Health Foundation, P.O. Box 2421, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, earmarked for Mount Cartier Court.
Stevie was born in Revelstoke, B.C. on March 17, 1928 and was a lifelong resident. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, camping and fishing. Stevie had a great love for her garden, especially her flowers.
She was known as "Mrs. Doolittle" for her love of all animals - wild and domestic. Stevie had a wonderful smile that everyone knew and will remember her by. Family was most important to Stevie.
Stevie was predeceased by her husband Paul in 1995; brothers Bill and Danny and sisters Elsie and Ann. She is survived by four children: Fred (Daranee) of Golden, Sharon (Archie) of Enderby, Debbie (Warren) of Revelstoke and Deanna (Jim) of Kamloops; seven grandchildren: Jennifer, Wade, Randy (Elaine), Amanda, Kelcy (Mike), Lauren (Kellan) and Cole (Kelsea); six great grandchildren: Micah, Jacob, Leah, Katie, Sara, Maisie, Jack and Luke; sister-in-law Marris Gawiuik of Revelstoke; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews as well as her grand pets: Lucy, Bella, Penny, Ripley, Josie, Yoda, Obie, Cashew, Leo and Bear.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Molder, Ann Marie Gill, Dr. Kate McCarroll and all the staff of Mount Cartier Court for their wonderful care of Stevie while a resident.
