Teresa Bruno passed away at Mt. Cartier Court Extended Care, Revelstoke on Thursday, November 26th, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Prayers were recited from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Wednesday evening, December 2nd, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday morning, December 3rd with Father Ronnie Tagnines celebrant. Interment followed in Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke. Pallbearers were Hector Scarcelli, Bryon Knoblauch, John Scarcelli, Vince Angelozzi, Luigi Federico and Cesar Bafaro. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice, in memory of Teresa.
Teresa was born in Spezzano, Sila, Italy on August 28, 1921 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1997. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and especially loved to visit with her friends.
Teresa was predeceased by her sister Giovanna Bonanno and her brother Biagio Bonanno. She is survived by one sister, Chiarina Barbiere-Bonanno of Argentina; step children Hector Scarcelli, John Scarcelli and Annette Knoblauch; nieces Assunte Mele and Aurora Angelozzi and other nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
