It is with much regret the family of Tomiko Fujiwara (nee Moriwaka) announce her passing at Clayton Heights Care Home in Surrey, on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the age of 97.
Tomiko will be sadly missed by her three children, Genie Stevens, Amy Neiszner (George) and Fred Fujiwara; grandchildren Sara (Steve), Lisa (Trevor), Kim (Casey), Jeff and Greg, plus seven great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Toshi, in 2006 and son-in-law, Lamont in 2020.
Revelstoke was home to mom where she and dad enjoyed many, many years of an easy, uncomplicated lifestyle until dad's retirement. Moving the two of them to the "big" city was a needless concern, as they slipped into city living with much ease, travelling all over the lower mainland with bus schedule in tow.
In her latter years, mom's personality blossomed, acquiring a sassy sense of humour and a whole lot of joy which she spread to all of those around her. Will truly miss her incessant singing and humming but we are certain she has taken her show on the road to entertain many others.
