Verna May Abramson passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, July 12th, 2022, with her family by her side. A Funeral Service was held from the Chapel of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home on Monday morning, July 18th followed by interment in Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke.
Verna was born on January 4, 1924, in Revelstoke, B.C. and lived most of her life here. She was a devoted lifelong member of the Anglican Church. She was a long-standing member of the Senior Citizens' Association, and the Moose Lodge. Verna was also very active with many community groups and associations. She was a devoted giver.
Verna was predeceased by her father James McMahon, mother Nettie McMahon, husband Arnold (Abe), son Danny and brother Melvin Boyd (Mickey). She is survived by two children: Amandah Tanner (David Plume) of Coquitlam and Melvin Abramson of Saskatchewan; daughter-in-law Cheryl Schier of Vernon; four grandchildren: Belinda, Sydney, Jenita and Madison; five great grandchildren; sister-in-law Lornita McMahon of Kelowna as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
