Mr. Victor Threatful passed away at Mt. Cartier Court Extended Care, Revelstoke on Monday, October 4, 2010 at the age of 97 years.


A Memorial Service was held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Revelstoke on Saturday afternoon, October 9, 2010 with Mr. Clayton Schmidt the speaker. Cremation.


Victor was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on April 15, 1913 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1914 when his family settled in the Mount McPherson area of Revelstoke. Victor and his brother owned and operated a shingle mill 35 miles up the Big Bend Highway. Victor also operated bee hives in the same area and was a well-known beekeeper.

Victor was predeceased by his parents and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his only remaining brother, Leonard (Stephanie) Threatful of Revelstoke; three sisters: Vera Weeden of Revelstoke, Helen Korenko of Revelstoke and Eve (Peter) Volk of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Victor came to form many fond and loving attachments with numerous friends he made over the years in congregations of Jehovah’s people. He especially in latter times valued the selfless friendship and regular support and care that Millard Backous, Oeds deJager and Slim Shewchuk provided to him, and many others that shared his friendship and faith, not to mention the unwavering attachment love of his extended family.
