Wendy Lee Larson passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022, at the age of 62 years.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Wendy on Saturday June 11 at 11 am at the Revelstoke Seniors' Centre.
Flowers are acceptable, or memorialc conntributions may be made to the charity of one's choice, in memory of Wendy.
Wendy was born in Norquay, Saskatchewan on February 10, 1960, but moved with her family to a few places in Saskatchewan - Kamsack, Melville, Canora until finally settling in Revelstoke in 1975 when she was in Grade 9. Wendy graduated High School in 1978 and got a job waitressing at The Roma Restaurant.
Wendy married Bob Larson July 17, 1981. She continued waitressing for many years at The Frontier, when she left the Frontier, she managed a café Jolly Rodgers Café and Arcade for a few years. When Wendy left waitressing, she started her own business for calculating coupons. Then when that was over Wendy worked for a lady that had a home day care in the Columbia Park area.
After Bob and Wendy were married, she travelled with Bob to his Loggers Sports Competitions in various communities thru out BC. She even competed herself in the Axe Throw.
She loved reading, doing crossword puzzles, cooking and games. Wendy volunteered many hours with the Logger's Sports Day's in town and at the Thrift Store. Wendy excelled in planning and cooking for family and friends gatherings.
Wendy was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Bev Katchur, brother-in-law Wayne Reinson, nephew David Oystryk, and mother-in-law Vi Larson. She is survived by her husband Bob of Revelstoke; four sisters: Linda Reinson of Saskatchewan, Cheryl Katchur of Revelstoke, Cindy (Allan) Krukoff of Edmonton and Karen Katchur (John Marsh) of Qualicum Beach; father-in-law Ernie Larson of Revelstoke; sister-in-law Tammie (Rick) Kermack of Revelstoke as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand nephews, and grand nieces.
