Yvonne Beattie passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Thursday evening, October 20th, 2016 at the age of 82 years. There will be a Memorial Tea held in the United Church Hall (basement) on Saturday, November 12th, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Yvonne was born in Landis, Saskatchewan on September 1, 1934 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1961. Over the years, Yvonne enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and spending time in her garden. Her most important job was that of a mother and grandmother and she enjoyed that immensely.
Yvonne was predeceased by her parents; Ken and Eileen McNabb, her brothers; Bill and Sandy and her beloved husband, Karl. She is survived by 9 children: Marilyn (Don) Woodcock of Logan Lake, Sandra Beattie (Randy Holt) of Calgary, Laurie Jones of Revelstoke, Edward (Deb) Beattie of Revelstoke, Karen (Rick) Powers of Revelstoke, Shannon Beattie of Revelstoke, Kathy (Robert) Cashato of Vernon, Lisa Beattie (Bryan Johnson) of Revelstoke and Lance Beattie (Adrienne Schurdevin) of Revelstoke; 21 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren as well as many in-laws and a number of good friends.
