Darien Blight bats in a puck out of mid-air to give the Revelstoke Bantam Grizzlies a 1-0 lead againt the Merritt Centennials Friday afternoon. The team ended up losing the game 5-4 but came back to win 9-1 on Saturday and 6-4 on Sunday to reach the league finals.

Bantam Grizzlies reach league finals

The Revelstoke Bantam Grizzlies minor hockey team advanced to the league finals, defeating the Merritt Centennials 2-1 in their best of three series last weekend.

The team lost game one 5-4 in Revelstoke on Friday but came back to win 9-1 in Merritt on Saturday and 6-4 in Revelstoke on Sunday.

They face Winfield in the finals, which begins Friday at 1 p.m. in Revelstoke. Game two is set for Saturday in Winfield and game three, if necessary, is Sunday at 3:15 p.m. in Revelstoke.

In other minor hockey news, the Revelstoke CMH Midget Titans were eliminated from the playoffs by Winfield while the PeeWee Grizzlies advanced, defeating Merritt in two straight games.
