Former Revelstoke Grizzly heads to Detroit Red Wings camp

The defender played in Revelstoke five years ago

A former Revelstoke Grizzly defenceman is headed to Detroit to be part of the Red Wings’ development camp.

Jackson DeSouza was a defenceman for the Grizzlies in 2018 and 2019. While playing with the Grizzlies, DeSouza was part of a division-winning roster that was second in the league. Since leaving Revelstoke, DeSouza moved to Kelowna, where he’s been playing with the Kelowna Rockets as a right-defenceman.

Last season, the six-foot-four Colorado native played 66 games for the Rockets, with six goals and 14 assists to his name.
