Revelstoke's Colton McLeod won't be the only Grizzly heading to St. Louis, Mo., this fall to launch his college hockey career.

The 20-year-old forward, who's dedicated three seasons to the Grizzlies between 2022 and 2025, joins teammate and defender Nathan White as they commit to playing for the Maryville University Saints of the American Collegiate Hockey Association.

Averaging over a point per game in his final 2024-25 regular season, McLeod led Revelstoke into the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) playoffs last winter with 21 goals and 46 points across 42 games.

The Whistler native went on to tally six goals and 15 points this year over 20 KIJHL Teck Cup games, helping Revelstoke reach the third-round finals with the Grand Forks Border Bruins.

In the 2023-24 playoffs, McLeod and the Grizzlies surfaced to win the league championship against the Fernie Ghostriders, and Mowat Cup provincial championship against the Ridge Meadow Flames.

"My physical game developed and I improved my game sense — seeing the ice better," McLeod said in a release, departing the league with a total 41 goals and 82 points from three regular seasons and 17 goals and 35 points from the playoff rounds.

He credits the Grizzlies for helping him lock down this next chapter with the Saints, recognizing the high level of coaching and talent that have surrounded him in Revelstoke.

"It’s extremely exciting as I wanted to pursue college hockey from the beginning,” McLeod added. “Having this opportunity is great, especially with my teammate Nathan White. It means a lot."
