It was the first home game of the season and a strong start for the Revelstoke Grizzlies.

On Oct. 2 the Grizzlies beat the Castlegar Rebels 6-2.

Eight minutes into the first period Rider McCallum scored the first goal of the game assisted by Dylan Dever, Jordan Adams. Roughly five minutes later Carter Anderson scored another with an assist from Kaeden Patrick and Tommy Bodtker.

At 1:41 into the first, Cash Sawchyn scored with an assist from Adams and Devers.

There were five penalties in the first period against the Rebels.

In the second period, the Rebels scored their first goal on a power play at 16:18. Reid Wilson scored assisted by Kole Halvorson and Brady Daniels.

The Revelstoke Grizzlies answered back with a goal at 3:45 by Ryan Pereverzoff assisted by Raymond Speerbrecker and Anderson.

Second period got rough with 11 penalties, with only four against the Grizzlies.

In the final period David Lenzin scored a shorthanded goal at 10:11 assisted Dylan Devers. Eight minutes later Erik Nystrom from the Rebels scored with an assist from Gavyn Entzminger and Reid Wilson. With only 40 seconds left Jon Vandermolen scored with an assist from Azam Jiwa and Dylan Devers. There were eight penalities in the third period, with six against the Revelstoke Grizzlies.

The Revelstoke Grizzlies play ed Oct, 5 against the Fernie Ghostriders.
