Matt Robinson scored two goals as the Revelstoke Stallions men's soccer team defeated Davidson Dynamite 2-1 in quarter-final action of the North Okanagan Soccer League Wednesday evening.

Davidson got on the board first but Robinson tied the game late in the first half when he took a pass behind the Davidson defence and put a long shot into the net.

Revelstoke took the lead early in the second half after a flurry of pressure that eventually saw Robinson get off a shot from inside the penalty box for his second goal of the game.

The Stallions are now on to the semi-finals on Sunday – their opponent and the location of the game are still to be determined.

The team won the regular season title the previous two seasons but came up short in the playoffs each time. This year the team finished in a three-way tie for second in the league this year but the tie-breaker rules saw them seeded fourth, so the players have extra motivation to win the playoff championship this year, said team manager Serge Spataro.
