The Revelstoke Roughnecks lacrosse team defeated the Nicola Valley Thunder by a score of 8-4 to win their fifth straight game of the season at the Revelstoke Forum on Saturday.

Keanon Thacker and Curtis Magarian each had two goals for the Roughnecks while Alex Bell, Bronte Viznaugh, Taylor Barnes and Kyler Lenzi had a goal each.

Lenzi added three assists and Magarian had two in the game.

This game was a challenge for the Roughnecks as they were missing their regular goalie and one of their forwards, Kellen Viznaugh suited up for goal and did an amazing job.

One player was injured during the game and sat out most of the second and third periods and two players suffered minor injuries which hampered their full potential.

The Roughnecks were given only one penalty and Nicola Valley had four.

This was the last home game for the Roughnecks who have won five of their six home games and will now be on the road travelling to Merritt, Armstrong, Kamloops and Kelowna.
