RSS senior boys finish 11th at volleyball provincials

The Revelstoke Secondary School senior boys volleyball team finished 11th at the provincial volleyball championships in Kelowna last week.

The Revelstoke Secondary School senior boys volleyball team finished 11th at the provincial volleyball championships in Kelowna last week.

The tournament capped off a successful season for the young team, which will have many returning players next year.

The team won the Senior Last Spike tournament in Revelstoke, finished tied for first in its league, third place in the North Zone championships and third place at the Okanagan Valley championships on its way to the provincials.

The team thanked the Revelstoke Credit Union, South Side Foods, Coopers Foods and the staff at RSS for helping them attend the provincial championships.

Terry Beitel, RSS’ athletic director, also gave thanks to future 2012 graduates Brady Blake, Clayton Murray, Eric Schwenck, Zev Isert, Mitch Hayman, Devin Camara and Chris Dhillon for their “effort and skills over the last five years.”
