RSS senior girls get ready to host regional soccer championship

The Revelstoke Secondary School senior girls soccer team defeated Kings Christian Secondary School 3-0 to win their zone title and earn the right to host the Okanagan Valley championships next weekend.

RSS went a perfect 7-0 this Spring despite a late snow melt that limited their chances to practice outside and forced them to play most of their home games on the road.

Still, they went undefeated to win the regular season title and earned an automatic bye into the finals Monday. There, they continued their strong play with a 3-0 win.

The Okanagan Valley Championships will decide which team goes to the provincials. It takes place May 19-20.
