The last of Revelstoke’s evening rail jams

Revelstoke Mountain Resort had the last rail jam of the season last night (March 24)

The last of Revelstoke Mountain Resort’s (RMR) evening rail jam series finished up last night.

For the past few months, RMR has had an evening rail jam every month. Starting with a frigid jam in December that kept competitors and spectators alike bundled up, the jams have helped break up the winter months. Last night’s jam, unlike the first, was warm and bright as spring makes its way to Revelstoke.

With the sun dipped just behind the mountains in the valley, competitors were treated to natural light for most of the event, with floodlights flanking the course. Spectators sat comfortably, speckled along the embankment next to the venue to watch the athletes go big for the final event of the season.

Big spins and a few surprise flips garnered big cheers from the crowd that gathered to take in the jam. Rail jams have a rich history in Revelstoke that RMR have kept up, and brought back, this season with the evening rail jam series.
