Okanagan companies celebrated in new Indo-Canadian docuseries

The fourth episode speaks with businesses in the Okanagan’s food and wine industry

A few Central Okanagan businesses are being featured in the new docuseries Not Your Butter Chicken, celebrating Indo-Canadian culture in Western Canada alongside host Shiva Reddy.

West Kelowna’s Kalala Organic Winery and Kelowna’s There and Back Again Farms are highlighted in the fourth and final episode of the series. Okanagan Chef Aman Dosanj with the Paisley Notebook is also recognized for her storytelling through food. The episode is centred around the question “What will people say?”

The series also takes viewers to Kamloops, as well as Fort McMurray and Lethbridge, Alberta.

The docuseries is a TELUS Original, directed by Priyanka Desai with Jugaad Sisters. It is expected to air in May 2024 for Asian Heritage Month.
