A new mural on the wall of Columbia Park Elementary school was unveiled to hundreds of students, parents and staff Wednesday morning.
The mural was created in a collaboration between the student council and Jackie Pendergast of the Revelstoke Visual Arts Society.
The students received a grant from the Revelstoke Community Foundation to create the environment-themed mural.
The mural features paintings of mountains, the river, a waterfall, fish and birds. It incorporated designs by Pendergast and the students. Every student at the school then applied their hand print to the border of the mural.
