On January 24, Mt. Begbie Elementary held its second annual spelling bee. This was a fun event where students had to correctly spell words through a series of increasingly difficult rounds.
The participants were: Daryin Cameron, Lauren Channel, Aza Deschamps, Brayden Folden, Caleb Guenther, Anna Kampman, Lars Nielsen, and Hannah Vandenburg-Clark.
The top three spellers were Tia Sakiyama, Sophia Laurence, and Shana Codd-Wozniak.
Shana Codd-Wozniak will be representing our school at the regional Postmedia/Canspell spelling bee in Kamloops on March 3.
