Environmental groups Wildsight and the North Columbia Environmental Society are hosting a presentation by wolverine expert and author Doug Chadwick at the Revelstoke Community Centre this Thursday, February 17 at 7 p.m.

Chadwick is a biologist and researcher who tracked the elusive animals in Montana’s Glacier Nationa Park for five years. He’ll be presenting a slide show and his book, entitled The Wolverine Way. He calls the carnivores “the most intriguing creatures ever to walk the wild.”

The talk will also focus on the challenges the animals face.

“Wolverine numbers are dwindling,” says Robyn Duncan, tour organizer and Wildsight program manager. “They need vast spaces to roam in order to survive. We hope that Doug’s message will inspire people to join the effort to protect areas for wildlife.”
