ESS spent this past weekend (June 1-2) training with Golden and Salmon Arm in preparation for the upcoming wildfire season. This training exercise was mainly focused on e-transfers for those evacuees that hold a BC Services card linked to the ERA (Evacuee Registration & Assistance) program.

Our local team will continue with online training through JIBC (Justice Institute of BC) and be available to help out virtually with any evacuated community in BC. ESS also provides up to 72 hours (3 days) of assistance for any local emergency in Revelstoke.

We provide lodging, food, clothing, incidentals, transportation and emotional support. We are always looking for volunteers to join our team. If you are interested, please contact Brenda Jones – ESS Director at 250-814-9547 or email at bjess@telus.net.
