On Monday (Nov. 27), Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) delayed its opening for the 2023/24 season due to unseasonably low snowfall.

The resort was slated to open for the season on Saturday, Dec.2, at 8:30 a.m., but after an unsually mild and dry few weeks, it has had to postpone its opening.

RMR said its mountain operations team continue to assess conditions on a regular basis.

The resort said it intends to open RMR as soon as the conditions permit, but that the situation is dynamic. RMR will adapt its plans in tandem with the ever-shifting weather patterns.

RMR said it places the safety of its staff and guests above anything.

With the opening dependent on weather conditions, RMR didn’t provide an expected opening, but thanked guests for their patients and told them to stay tuned for updates in the near future.
