Weather permitting: Penticton’s outdoor ice rink set to open

Set to open Dec. 16, the rink will be open for all noon to 9 p.m.

If the weather cooperates, Penticton’s outdoor rink will open on Dec. 16.

Thanks to Activate Penticton, free public skating will be available daily between 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.The Activate Penticton Outdoor Ice Rink is located at 107 Martin Street, behind City Hall.

The rink is managed and maintained by a team of volunteers from the Activate Penticton Society, a non-profit made up of locals looking to give back to the community.

The rink is available for private events between 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Hockey is permitted only through private bookings during these times. To book the rink please contact Drew Barnes.

The outdoor ice rink will once again host the BCHL All-Star weekend Jan. 20-21, 2024.

Frost Fest Winter Carnival, a new Penticton event developed in conjunction with BCHL All-Star Weekend, is set for its inaugural edition on Jan. 20, 2024.
