The Cyclone Taylor Cup kicked off last night with a banquet hosted at Revelstoke Mountain Resort.
Over 200 players, coaches, volunteers, and members of the community were in attendance at the Revelation Lodge between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
The highlight of the night was a presentation by born and raised Revelstokian Aaron Volpatti.
In addition to being a former professional athlete who played in the NHL for the Vancouver Canucks and Washington Capitals, Volpatti is an author, cognitive performance and injury coach, and speaker.
The first puck-drop of the tournament is today (April 13) at 1 p.m. when the Kimberley Dynamiters take on the Delta Ice Hawks at the Revelstoke Forum.
The Revelstoke Grizzlies play their first game of the tournament this evening at 7 p.m. against the Oceanside Generals.
