Former Revelstoke singer-songwriter May Davis has released her latest music video, filmed on location just outside of the community.
‘Black Widow’ is the third song released by May Davis this year and her first music video for her trio of tunes. Filmed at Three Valley Gap’s Heritage Ghost Town, the video transports the viewer to the peak of the B.C. gold rush.
“Alongside a local cast of characters, tailored to the time period from the depths of their collective tickle-trunks, Davis and her team bring an immersive experience to the screen with a spin on a classic murder ballad and a story of wrongful romance and retribution,” said a press release announcing the release of the music video.
Davis’ production team for the video includes Francois Desrosiers (FD Productions), Keri Knapp and Amanda Quinlan.
“Supported both locally and provincially by CreativeBC, Arts Revelstoke, Tourism Revelstoke & Birch and Lace Hair Company, Davis is thrilled to finally release this creative project to the community and the world,” added the press release.
Davis performed for the last time in Revelstoke earlier this year after 12 years of working and growing her music in the community.
