PHOTOS: ‘Encore’: Revelstoke’s first youth-led arts festival

The festival was inspired by LUNA

Revelstoke’s first youth-led art festival, ‘Encore’, was a hit last night.

With varying styles of artwork on display in the foyer and live performances on the hour, there was no shortage of entertainment Thursday evening (Mar. 10).

‘Encore’ was the first youth-led art festival in Revelstoke, but the creators hope that it isn’t the last. Pearl Pratico, creative director of ‘Encore’ and senior student at Revelstoke Secondary School, said that she hopes that the event happens again next year, which was why they landed on the name. She said she’d even consider coming back from to make sure it happens.

“I’ll be in post-secondary, but if they need someone to do this, I might as well,” said Pratico.
