Tourism Revelstoke’s latest initiative aims to bring together community members, celebrate those who ‘make positive contributions’ to Revelstoke, and raise donations for a local non-profit.
The Sustain the Stoke: Celebrating Community Contributors campaign gives people in Revelstoke a chance to share their stories of volunteerism and environmentalism through photos or video.
As part of the campaign, Tourism Revelstoke will donate $20,000 to Community Connections Revelstoke, representing two per cent of their annual budget.
Participants can share these posts to their feed on Instagram or TikTok with a description of how they are making a positive contribution to the community and use the tags @revelstoke, #TheRealStoke, and #SustainTheStoke.
According to Tourism Revelstoke, each entry will generate a $100 donation to Community Connections and will enter the participant to win a 2023/24 season pass to Revelstoke Mountain Resort.
Those who wish to participate but don’t have access to an Instagram or TikTok account can submit their content at seerevelstoke.com/celebrating-community-contributors.
Another Tourism Revelstoke campaign is being run parallel with this one but directed at non-residents, with prizes including accommodation, gift certificates, and passes to activities.
