Flights will be coming into the Revelstoke airport twice per week this coming winter.

The prices and schedules for flights to and from Revelstoke this coming winter have been announced.

Revelstoke Air will be running flights from Vancouver to Revelstoke and back on Thursday and Sunday for eight weeks from January 26, 2017, to March 19, 2017.

Bookings will be handled by Everything Revelstoke, while Pacific Coastal Airlines will fly the planes. Ticket prices will range from $249 to $299 including all taxes and fees, and transportation to your hotel once you get to Revelstoke.

The flights will be run on a Beechcraft 1900 series aircraft, which can carry up to 15 passengers. The one hour flights will leave Vancouver at 1 p.m. and depart from Revelstoke at 3 p.m.

Flights will be diverted to Salmon Arm or Kelowna in case they can’t land in Revelstoke, and ground transportation the rest of the way will be provided at no extra cost.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort, the Revelstoke Accommodation Association and the City of Revelstoke, through the Economic Opportunity Fund, have teamed up to provide the $37,500 in funding each to guarantee the availability of the planes during the winter. They hope to recoup the money through ticket sales.

Reservations can be made at everythingrevelstoke.com, by calling 1-888-569-1969 or by e-mailing info@everythingrevelstoke.com.
