Bernice Mildred Dixon passed away peacefully at her residence in Revelstoke on Monday, January 28th, 2008 at the age of 82 years. A Memorial Reception will be held sometime in the future. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kelowna Hospice Association, 202 – 1456 St. Paul Street, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 2E6, in memory of Bernice.

Bernice was born in Salmon Arm, B.C. on March 16, 1925 and had been a resident of Revelstoke for the past three years, moving here from Kelowna. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. Bernice loved reading, doing puzzles, needlework and hooked rugs. In her younger years she was very proficient with firearms and won awards for her shooting.

Bernice was predeceased by three sons: Willie, Ernie and Raymond Nelson. She is survived by two daughters: Ruby Nelson of Kelowna and Kathy Murphy of Revelstoke; one grandson Allen McKay of Kelowna and one granddaughter Kelly-Ann Nelson of Revelstoke, as well as her cat, Baby of Revelstoke.

Cremation arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
