In Loving Memory ~
Claire passed away peacefully at Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke on Monday, August 14, 2023, at the age of 89 years.
There will be no formal funeral service at this time, but a family graveside service, followed by a reception open to all who wish to join us in remembering Mom, will take place at a later date.
Claire was born in Revelstoke, B.C. on February 23, 1934, and had been a lifelong resident. In her youth, Mom enjoyed figure skating, played piano and at one point was the youngest member of the ski club.
As an adult she enjoyed camping, knitting, playing cards and was an active skier and golfer. Mom worked for the school district for many years as a teachers' aide and secretary and touched many families' lives along the way.
Claire was predeceased by her parents, Earle and Estelle Dickey, brothers Gerald and Ron, son Gord and her husband Len (Chic).
She is survived by three daughters, Terri (Steve) Beck of Powell River, Laurie Cerolini (Fred Tucker) of Campbell River and Lynn Cerolini (George MacPherson) of Calgary, sister-in-law Marie Pratico of Revelstoke as well as many nieces and nephews.
Thanks so much to all of the home care aides, hospital staff, physio and dear friends who have assisted and provided care for Mom over the years.
Too many names to mention, but you know who you are. Special thanks to Dr. Bachelor for going the extra mile to care for Mom.
Mom was a beautiful person, always kind and loved by everyone.
