It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Clelia Warner, on February 14, 2013, in Salmon Arm.

Predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Wally, as well as her brother Arthur and sister Alma, she is survived by her children Kathy (Knud), Gary (Leslie), Jack (Brenda) and Patti, grandchildren Chris (Michelle), Jeff, Evan, Brendan, Emily, Alex, Justin, and Shannon, great-grandchildren Adam and Anna, and brother Armando (Olive).

Born at Queen Victoria Hospital on May 4, 1921, our mother was a graduate of Revelstoke High School and was working at the CPR when she met Wally. Their lives together took them to Nelson, back to Revelstoke, Vancouver, and finally to Salmon Arm in 1984 for their retirement years. While busy raising four active children, our mother always took time to attend mass on Sundays, serve the elderly by participating in Meals-on-Wheels, and look after the less fortunate by having physically challenged children join us at our property on Kootenay Lake for an afternoon of fun. Happiest around family and friends, a perfect day for our mother was one spent on Shuswap Lake tending her flowers and surrounded by her grandchildren, and ending with a huge family meal topped off by one of her famous apple pies, generally considered to be the best ever made.

A celebration of life service for our mother and father will be held at 11a.m. on April 12, 2013, at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Revelstoke. We would like to express our gratitude to the staff of Arbor House in Salmon Arm for the excellent care provided our parents over the past few years.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
