Donald Bruce Haggerstone (Bruce) passed away peacefully on December 29th, 2019 with family at his bedside in Ladysmith, Vancouver Island.
Bruce was born in Pioneer Mine in 1948 and grew up in Revelstoke. He completed a BSc in Geography at UBC, then a Masters of Landscape Architecture at Harvard University. Bruce returned to the west coast, settling with his young family on Bowen Island where he was an active community member.
Bruce is survived by his children, Sarah, Travis and Taryn Haggerstone, his common-law partner, Robbins Harris and his siblings Jain, John and James.
A celebration of life will be held February 29th on Bowen Island, and in August we will gather in Revelstoke to scatter his ashes. Donations in his honour can be made to the Pacific Parkinsons Research Centre. https:// parkinsons.ubc.ca/wp/
