Eugene John Weleschuk, 87, of Salmon Arm, B.C., passed away on October 26, 2023 in Salmon Arm.
Funeral services will be held at a later time.
Eugene was born in Wostok, AB, on July 6, 1936. He married Joyce Peterson on May 22, 1965, in Salmon Arm, B.C. Eugene was predeceased by his wife Joyce (Peterson), parents John and Michelena (Stemack), brother Leo, and sisters Rose (Nelson) and Emily (Bellerive).
Eugene is survived by his children Raymond (Tami), Edward (Tina), Melody (Stephan), and Arthur (April), 8 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He started out his career as a farmer and then moved on to working in the logging industry where he spent many years in the back country learning where all the good fishing and camping places were. He loved to camp, fish and travel. He travelled to 24 different countries and enjoyed seeing all the different ways people lived. He belonged to the Revelstoke ATV club for about 10 years. His greatest accomplishments in life were being married to his soul mate and raising his family. He wants to be remembered for all the happy times camping and travelling with friends and family.
