Gary Paul Dieleman died suddenly at Williams Lake, B.C. on Monday, February 25th, 2013 at the age of 56 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Revelstoke Community Center on Sunday afternoon, March 10th, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Mr. Gary Sulz officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Revelstoke Humane Society, Box 340, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, or the charity of one’s choice, in memory of Gary.


Gary was born in Chatham, Ontario on October 7, 1956 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1999. He enjoyed photography, riding his Harley, playing badminton and barbecuing. Gary loved to putter with electronics and watch UFC with his son Eric. He owned Revelstoke Office Equipment for two years and a member of the IBEW #993 for over 15 years. Gary was affectionately known as “Uncle Jabba” by his nieces and “Big G’ by his friends.


Gary was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife Arlene of Revelstoke; two children: Eric of Revelstoke and Lauren (Brandon Halvorson) of Kamloops; granddaughter Aubrey Halvorson; brother Jean (Lucette) Dieleman of Penticton; sister Mireille (Frank) Vegso of Chatham, Ontario; nieces Patricia, Susan, Larissa and Lindsay; and sister-in-law Sharan Gilbert of Kelowna.
