Gerald Wesley Mower died suddenly in Hinton, Alberta on Tuesday, December 13th, 2011 at the age of 21 years. A Funeral Service was held at the Fellowship Baptist Church, Revelstoke on Monday afternoon, December 19th with Pastor Rick Eby officiating. Interment followed in Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke. Pallbearers were Dakota Martens, Levi Hantula, Ryan Bobrowski, Mitch Powers, Danny Allan and Sean Barrett. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Revelstoke Minor Hockey, in memory of Gerald.


Gerald was born in Revelstoke, B.C. on September 3, 1990 and had been a lifelong resident. He was an avid outdoors person who loved fishing. Gerald enjoyed playing hockey, riding his motorcycle and snowmobiling. He loved spending time with his friends and being at Trout Lake. Gerald was proud to be a “Big Eddy Boy.”


Gerald was predeceased by his father Milton Mower in 1994, his grandmother Beatrice Alm in July, 2001, his grandfather Lorne Mower in 2001 and his uncle Gerald Mower 25 years ago to the day of Gerald’s death. Gerald is survived by his parents Kathy and Clayton Berlingette of Revelstoke; siblings: Toni Berlingette (Jordon Rowse) of Vancouver and Dallas Berlingette of Red Deer, Alberta; grandma Rosella Mower of Kelvington, Saskatchewan; grandma Roeliene Leemburg of Tisdale, Saskatchewan; grandpa Jack Alm of Battleford, Saskatchewan as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends.
