In loving memory ~
John passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Mt. Cartier Court in Revelstoke, BC.
He was born in Hanna, Alberta and at the age of 14, John and his family moved from Canmore, Alberta to Revelstoke and made this their community home. His father Frank went to work on McKinnon Dairy farm after leaving the mines of Alberta.
John spent his working years in the logging industry opening his own company called Lea-J Logging. After a hard day's work, he could be found having a few beers at the at the King Eddy.
John is predeceased by his parents Frank and Mary Jane Storey, his brothers David and Leonard and his sister Velma. He will always be loved and remembered by daughter Leanne (David) Schumacher, granddaughter Sarah (Alan) Rivard, his precious dog Bailey and his sister Norma as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude to neighbors and friends Val and Wullie who were so good to John. Also sincere thanks to Dr. Brown as well as the nurses and care aides at Mt. Cartier Court for your exceptional care and compassion.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 18, 2024 in Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke, BC followed by a reception at Emo's located at 418 First Street West.
