Kathleen Lillian "Kay" Martin passed away at Mount Cartier Court Extended Care, Revelstoke on Saturday, July 28th, 2018 at the age of 106 years. There will be no formal funeral service by Kay's own request. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Revelstoke District Health Foundation, Box 2421, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0 designated for Mount Cartier Court, in memory of Kay.
Kay was born in Revelstoke, B.C. on June 20, 1912 and lived here for most of her life. She was a life member of the Revelstoke Senior's Association and a 36 year member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion, a long-time member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Kay enjoyed travelling, especially to Reno and taking a cruise to Alaska. Her hobbies included knitting and baking. Kay especially loved going to Bingo and the Casino.
Kay was predeceased by her parents Alexander and Emma, brother Robert and sisters Elsie and Emily. She is survived by her daughter Noreen (Mike) Weeden of Revelstoke; three grandchildren: Sheryl Murray of Vancouver, Dana (Deborah) Holloway of Vancouver and Clayton Holloway of West Kelowna; four great grandchildren: Breann, Bryton, Avery and Trinity as well as several cousins.
