In Loving Memory ~

We honour the life of Louise Visscher, the embodiment of love and light, who passed away on December 14, 2023. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, and later settling in Salmon Arm with husband Dirk and kids, Louise's life was defined by her deep love for family, her unwavering faith in God, and her generous spirit.

Louise leaves behind a loving family: children Joanne Guy, Richard Visscher (Sharla), Ken Visscher (Janis), Kathy Schmidt (Steve), and Tammy Smith; her sister, Darlene Schoepp; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Together with her husband, Dirk, she created a legacy of joy, kindness, and enduring faith.

Louise was a cornerstone of her community, known for her open heart and the comfort she provided to all. Her life was a testament to the love of God, the strength of family bonds and the impact of living with grace and compassion.

As we remember Louise, we celebrate the love she shared and the lessons she taught us. Her memory will continue to inspire us, guiding us to live with the same kindness, joy and faith she embodied.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to a cause close to your heart, honouring Louise's lifelong commitment to making the world a better place.

Join us in celebrating Louise's life on Saturday, May 18th, 2024, at First United Church in Salmon Arm at 11 am, https://maps.app.goo.gl/9Q3KkAngJcoUzTF79 followed by a catered appetizer buffet and a graveside service at Mt. Ida Cemetery.
