Mary Francis Thompson passed away peacefully at her residence in Revelstoke on Friday, June 6th, 2014. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 pm from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Friday evening, June 13th, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 pm on Saturday afternoon, June 14th with Father Aaron de Dios celebrant. Interment will follow in the family plot of Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke.
Mary was born in Revelstoke, B.C. to a pioneer family, and was a life-long resident. She will be well-remembered for managing McGregors Motor Inn.
Mary was predeceased by her sister Margaret Choban and brother James McKinnon. She is survived by two daughters: Sydney of Revelstoke and Mary Margaret “Peggy” (Michael Jones) of Victoria; three nieces and two nephews.
