Orville Bernacki passed away peacefully at home in Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at the age of 89 years. He was born on May 18, 1934, in Reczyszczach, Poland.
He was a man who loved his family dearly and impacted many around him with his generosity of spirit and time. We will miss him dearly, but take comfort in knowing he is finally at peace, resting in the arms of his heavenly Father.
In the early 1960's, Orville started building Venutti's Apartment in Revelstoke (known as MoloJ) under Olympic Construction, with his younger brother George.
His youngest brother Peter, joined the finishing of this project and the brothers worked together on other projects in Revelstoke.
Orville purchased the land off Hwy 23 North, Eagle Ridge, and started development. A corner lot was set aside for the Fellowship Baptist Church - this was important to Orville.
Orville is survived by his loving children; Norm, Ryan and Sharon, grandchildren Lauren and Lucas as well as his sister Rose and brother Peter.
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Gail.
