June 28, 1954 - July 30, 2023
In loving memory ~
Thomas Leo Kohlman passed away peacefully at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Sunday, July 30th, 2023, with his family at his side after a short but difficult battle with cancer. Tom will be greatly missed and forever loved and remembered. Tom was born in Macklin, Saskatchewan, on June 28, 1954, and had been a resident of Revelstoke since October 1981. Tom enjoyed camping, boating, and lake fishing. He especially looked forward to his annual ocean fishing trips with close friends. He enjoyed ATV'ing, exploring old mine sites, and huckleberry picking with the love of his life and "rock", Sharon. He has passed down his love of exploring to his daughter and granddaughters and now they too enjoy the simple pleasures of life, as he always did. Tom's adventurous spirit led to many trips with Sharon over the years including various destinations in Mexico and the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and The Cook Islands. He never took any of these adventures for granted which shows by the numerous photos he took. Tom was predeceased by his mother Rose Marie, sisters Debbie & Sandy. Tom is survived by his wife Sharon; daughter Carlee (John) Martin of Calgary and two granddaughters: Ashlee and Averie; father Leo, siblings Gerry (Linda), Laurie (Bruce), Brian (Shelly), Darin, Rod (Lori), nieces and nephews, as well as numerous extended family & many good friends. There will be no formal funeral service at Tom's request. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to B.C. Cancer - Kelowna (Sindi Ahluwalia Hawkins Centre), 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 5L3, in memory of Tom. We would like to thank all the QVH doctors & nursing staff for their exceptional care. It truly made a difference in Tom's comfort & stay. We greatly appreciate all the love & support from friends and family during this difficult time.
