Where: Revelstoke Seniors Center, 603 Connaught Avenue, Revelstoke, B.C.
Vic was born in Revelstoke and lived there for almost her entire long, good life. She was raised on the Caracciolo farm south of town with her many siblings and graduated from Revelstoke High School in 1945. Stew was born in Rockhaven, Saskatchewan, where he lived on a farm with his 3 siblings, then moved with his family to Salmon Arm, B.C., when he was a teenager. He had an eventful young life as a construction worker and met Vic when in Revelstoke for one of his jobs.
After marrying in 1960, Vic and Stew had two children, Rodney and Linda, and lived in their beloved house at 107 8th Street East for over 50 years. They spent their final years in care facilities in Alberta where they were near their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and were honored at Memorial Services in Okotoks after they died.
Vic and Stew were renowned for their warmth, kindness, smiles, laughter, humour, joy, and generosity. Their house was open to all and was appreciated as a welcoming, supportive place.
With their sweet, kind hearts, Vic and Stew brightened the lives of all who had the privilege to know them. They will be forever remembered with gratitude and love.
Please drop in to reflect on and share your memories of these two good people. Refreshments and light snacks will be provided. Immediately following the event, ashes will be interred at Mountain View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Revelstoke Hospital Auxiliary Society OR the donor's choice.
