Violet Ethel Mary Booth passed away at the George Boyack Nursing Home in Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, June 3, 2008 at the age of 90 years. There will be no formal funeral service, but Vi’s cremated remains will be interred beside her husband George in the future.

Vi was born in Epsom, England on February 28, 1918 and was a resident of Revelstoke for many years prior to her move to Calgary to be closer to her daughters. She enjoyed knitting and reading and especially loved to play bingo. Vi was a great lady and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She will be sorely missed by all her family, but she is finally with her beloved husband, George.

Vi was predeceased by her husband George in 2000. She is survived by three children: Brian (Ann) Booth of Courtenay, Mary Heibein of Calgary and Jan Temrick of Calgary; seven grandchildren: Chantelle, Sherry, Shannon, Patti, Charlene, Sean and Tasha and five great grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
