It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Yoshito Shoji on April 23.
Yosh was born in Vancouver on August 17, 1936. Yosh spent the majority of his life in Revelstoke and was an active member in the community for many years. He was active in various service groups including the Kinsmen, Chamber of Commerce, Revelstoke Rotary Club, and, also served as an Alderman and Chairman of the School Board.
Yosh spent his younger years operating Snow White Dry Cleaners
before becoming a realtor, where he owned Century 21, and then Remax. Yosh spent his retirement years enjoying fishing and spending the winter months in Arizona and Thailand.
Yosh was predeceased by his parents Roy and Matsue Shoji, wife Terry, and brother Edward. He is survived by sons Kevin, Allan (Miyuki), Jason (Barb) and grandchildren Ryan and Risa, brothers Vic (Tina), Kuts (Carol), Elmer (Ginger), and sister Shelagh (Terry), special friend Marlene Fonteyne, as well as many nieces and nephews.
