Shelley Westwood
Shelley began her media career in radio and television before purchasing the Souris Plaindealer; the weekly newspaper in Souris, Manitoba. During her tenure as publisher she served as President of the Manitoba Community Newspaper Association and on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Community Newspaper Association.
Following a move to Victoria she joined Black Press in 2010 as an Advertising Consultant with Victoria News and the Goldstream News Gazette.
Always involved in her community, Shelley has been an active member of various volunteer organizations throughout her career. She was a key organizer of the Black Press Women in Business awards and initiatives. Shelley has four sons and six grandchildren.

Marissa Tiel
Marissa Tiel joined the Revelstoke Review in 2017. She graduated from Ryerson University with a bachelor of journalism and attended Loyalist College for photojournalism. Tiel has worked in city newsrooms as well as at rural publications. She worked on the photo desk for CTV during the London 2012 Olympics. Prior to Revelstoke, she lived in the Yukon and worked as the sports editor of the Whitehorse Daily Star.
