Golf Club Pro-Am raises $1,300 for Revelstoke Community Foundation

The Revelstoke Golf Club’s 2011 Revelstoke Invitational Charity Pro-Am has raised $1,300 for the Revelstoke Community Foundation.

The Revelstoke Golf Club’s 2011 Revelstoke Invitational Charity Pro-Am has raised $1,300 for the Revelstoke Community Foundation.

The pro-am event was held July 8.

“18 teams from Alberta, Kootenays, Okanagan and Revelstoke battled the inclement weather but all in all enjoyed a great day of golf, food and fun at the Revelstoke Golf Course and Riverside Landing Restaurant,” said John Franks, Revelstoke Golf Club head professional and general manager in a statement. “Thank you to all the wonderful Sponsors, Volunteers, and the staff of the Revelstoke Golf Club. Special thanks to Jairad Burke – Course Superintendent and his staff for the preparation of the golf course in very difficult conditions, job well done.”

“The sponsorship from the business community in Revelstoke was once again outstanding with a total of 42 sponsors,” he added. He reconized the following major sponsors: A&W Restaurant, Revelstoke Credit Union,  RCU Insurance, PrairieCoast Equipment, The Hillcrest Hotel a Coast Resort, Pharmasave Revelstoke, Revelstoke Men’s Club, Revelstoke Roof Repair Co., Vic Van Isle Construction, Revelstoke Masonic Lodge, Okanagan Fertilizer and Oakcreek Golf & Turf.
