The Revelstoke Nordic Ski Club celebrated the official grand-opening of its new day lodge with a barbecue, cake and their annual Team Scream Relay.
Club president Dave Kaegi cut the ribbon at the ceremonial grand-opening and thanked the contractor, many volunteers and donors who helped get the lodge built.
As for the race, club members young and old took part in two laps around the Mickey Olson Loop. The first lap was classic and the second skate technique, with each relay team member doing one lap, though some racers chose to race both laps themselves.
The relay was won by Jonathan Bakker, who raced both legs of the relay solo. Brittany Evans was the top individual female, while Dave Kaegi and Lucie Perusse were the top team.
