This week’s article looks at the biggest problem areas for cyclists in Revelstoke.

VICTORIA – Even if movies based on video games aren’t your cup of tea, the recent Disney production Tron: Legacy is notable as a measure of the sophistication of the B.C. motion picture industry.

All too often we have been given written assurances by this government only to find their intentions were completely different.

Revelstoke resident Bob Melnyk was a member of the special working group formed to work alongside council as they went through the budget process this year. The group submitted their own report prior to the finalization of the draft budget, but Melnyk also submitted his own individual comments and submitted them to the city during the budget comment period.

"An ever increasing number of well informed individuals, organizations and communities throughout the province – especially the Kootenays, are not sold on your so-called ‘green energy’ package. In the face of the cumulative environmental effects of tens of hundreds of proposed IPP developments, their objections are well founded based on scientific evidence and the evidence of detrimental effects of past hydroelectric generation projects – whether large or small."
