The event will take place from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Executive director of Arts Revelstoke, Stacie Byrne explained that this engaging play is family friendly. The visiting group will also be performing for a Grade 3/4 class earlier in the day on Friday. The students will be coming prepared as they’ve crafted wings to adorn themselves as they watch the story unfold on stage.

Actor, Manus Halligan said that the production will be highly engaging as it involves multimedia effects such as projecting figurines throughout the stage, as well as puppets and a loop pedal as they create their own songs.

The production is based on the short story, A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and is directed by Dan Colley, with the story adapted by Dan Colley, Manus Halligan and Genevieve Hulme Beaman. The media release from the group describes the show as a comedic tale that “taps into both the best and worst of mankind, wryly examining the human response to those who are weak, dependent, and different.”
